Welcome to the Tata Consultancy Services microsite for the TCS Tech Challenge
How innovative are you? How much are you up for a challenge? Are you feeling entrepreneurial? Would you be interested in winning a one-month paid internship for summer 2015? If the answer to any of these questions is yes then keep reading…
In 2015, Tata Consultancy Services will run the TCS Tech Challenge for the second year – the programme will see students from six UK universities consider how they can use the power of technology to address pressing needs that local charities are facing.
The six universities involved are University of Bristol, University College London, University of Edinburgh, University of East Anglia, University of Liverpool and University of Warwick. The charity partners involved in the programme are all local to the universities.
We are asking students from these six universities to submit short proposals responding to the briefs posted on this microsite. For each University, the best five student proposals will be invited to form a team that will work closely with the local charities for eight weeks with the support of mentors from TCS to implement a solution.
The five members of the winning team will win a paid one-month internship at TCS. In addition, the winning team will secure a donation of £1000 for their partner charity.
The TCS Tech Challenge is open to undergraduates and post-graduates from all academic backgrounds. We are aiming to attract students from a variety of academic backgrounds as we strongly believe that success in all six projects requires a team with a blend of skills, knowledge and expertise. The only restriction is that you have to be a current student of one of these universities to take part in the programme.
