Robert de Castella, Founder, Indigenous Running Foundation stated “The support from TCS is helping IMF to create community heroes and role models and inspire the next generation of children to be healthy and strong,” Mr de Castella said.
“Technology is being used to benefit those even in remote communities, and give kids the opportunity to grow and learn through something as simple as running. The TCS developed mobile app brings an exciting new dimension to City2Surf, helping to further position it as a world-class event. At IMF, the recently introduced TCS IMF-DRC app is proving to be an outstanding enabler of our nation-wide program, helping bring our community closer via technology”

About the Indigenous Marathon Foundation
The Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) is a health promotion charity that uses running to celebrate Indigenous resilience and achievement, and create inspirational Indigenous leaders. The IMF was established in 2009 by world marathon champion Rob de Castella. In 2010 four Indigenous Australians created history as the first to run in the world’s biggest marathon – the New York City Marathon – as part of one of the IMF’s core programs; the Indigenous Marathon Project (IMP). Running and physical activity underpin all IMF programs. It is committed to providing social, inclusive, and fun environments for people to adopt active and healthy lifestyles.
